Jon is a strategic connector and financial architect with a focus on industry disruptors. A serial entrepreneur for over 20 years, Jon has diverse private equity, real estate and brand development experience. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Venexo Capital, and has raised in excess of $100m in the real estate, healthcare and hospitality sectors. Focused on building brands for the millennial market, Venexo’s portfolio includes The Pint Public House, CRASH Hotels, Urban Sparq Hospitality and HIP-O Micro-Living. Jon has been recognized as a Business in Vancouver Forty under 40 Award winner and a Top 100 People in Finance winner, offering an entrepreneurial platform to raise capital for launching catalyst brands.
Jon holds a B.Comm from the Alberta School of Business, an MBA from the Sauder School of Business and is a Certified Professional Accountant. He is active in the community including board advisory and public speaking engagements. He volunteers his time on the Honorary Governor’s Council of the Vancouver Foundation and is past Chairman of Hastings Crossing BIA.
In his spare time, Jon loves playing hockey, skiing, scuba diving, and spending time with his growing family.
Director of Finance, Mike Tanasichuk

Mike joined Venexo in 2015 as Director of Finance with the responsibility of evaluating acquisitions, conducting due diligence, and overseeing hospitality and real estate assets. After completing his Bachelor of Science, Mike performed Medical Genetic research at the iCaptureCenter - St. Paul’s Hospital Vancouver. During his time in Vancouver, Mike’s passion shifted to finance and he became a Chartered Accountant while at Deloitte & Touche. Mike provided financial advisory, tax, and audit services within Deloitte’s Private Company Service line.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys cycling, soccer and snowboarding in the winter.

Jason oversees Venexo Capital's healthcare acquisitions and leads the due diligence and acquisition process - sourcing, structuring, financing and managing investment opportunities. Prior to joining Venexo, Jason was Director of Trading at Auspice Capital, a quantitative and systematic investment fund. He oversaw trading operations, developed new trading strategies, and conceptualized investment program enhancements. Jason graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Business majoring in Finance (Hons).
Jason is a family man, an avid skier and an outdoor enthusiast.
